Brush House Single Line Block Instruments and Train Describer

1. This is how the system looks when it is first powered up. Both rotary switches are pointing upwards and both "Line Normal" lights are illuminated. Instrument Instrument
2. The operator at Position One turns his rotary switch to the desired class of train. The "Line Normal" lights are extinguished and Position Two's light for that class of train is now illuminated. Instrument
3. To accept the train the operator at Position Two moves his bottom righthand switch to "Train Accepted". This action illuminates the green "Train Going To" light at Position One and the red "Train Coming From" light at Position Two. Instrument

4. The operator at Position One can now send a Train to Position Two. When the Train enters the Section he will move his bottom lefthand switch which will illuminate the "Train Entering Section" lights on both Instruments. Instrument 5. When the operator at Position Two sees the "Train Entering Section" light is illuminated, he will acknowledge this by moving his bottom lefthand switch which will extinguish both his "Train Entering Section" light and that at Position One . 6. Once the Train has cleared the Section the operator at Position Two will move his bottom righthand switch up to "Train out of Section" which will extinguish his red "Train Coming From" light and Position One's green "Train Going To" light. Instrument 7. When the operator at Position One sees his "Train Going To" light is extinguished, he will re-set his rotary switch which will once again restore the "Line Normal" lights. Either end is now free to offer on a train. Instrument
